The long awaited construction of Warrnambool's new performing arts centre is complete!! The opening night features the spectacular building with dynamic performers to set the stage for an opening night like no other – a brand new kind of orchestra that dispenses with conductors and music stands and replaces them with stilts, unicycles and fun. Big music, rich sound, big screens and brilliant lighting – all driven by the audience. Direct from the Lantern Festival in Taiwan where they wowed audiences of 60,000. Deep Blue Orchestra will be unforgettable as the first performances on our Lighthouse Theatre stage.

Lady Bay Resort Tiathalon Triumph!!

A big congratulations to Lady Bay Resort's two teams that competed in the Dean Picken Designs Warrnambool Triathlon. 500m swim; 18km ride & 5km run. On Sunday the 26th of February. The boys finished in first place & the girls finished in second place!! A special shout out to our Magnificent Manager Jon, our fabulous head chef Glendon & the gorgeous Abbie in the restaurant!! Well done guys!!

Mother & calf whale sighting!!

There has been some fantastic & consistent whale sightings since Sunday the 17th of July. Spotted off Logan's Beach platform & just off Thunder Point!!

Conditions are clearing, the perfect time to head down to the beach & witness these spectacular animals!

MOTHER & CALF WHALES SIGHTING OFF LOGAN'S BEACH LOOKOUT!!

From tourists to locals alike the event from Logan's Beach Platform on Wednesday was majestical. Onlookers witnessed a Southern Right mother & her calf just metres from shore!!

Travel from the GREAT OCEAN ROAD TO THE LADY BAY RESORT.

You will be exposed to an array of natural scenery as you travel through the Great Ocean Road. From rainforests & rivers, volcanoes & rugged coastline to close encounters with native animals, the final destination of Warrnambool is the heart of it all!

Amongst the Great Ocean Road is the Great Otway National Park roughly two hours drive from Warrnambool. In the Great Otway National Park you'll see thundering waterfalls and iridescent gorges and walk through the tops of ancient mossy trees. Continue your wildlife escape & head West on the Princess Highway and you will find Tower Hill State Game Reserve. Inside this vast Maar volcano rim you will encounter koalas, emus, kangaroos and water birds roaming freely in this wildlife haven. Tower Hill boasts 614 hectares of scenic bushwalks and volcanic wetlands and is internationally recognised as a site of geological significance.

Travel from the Great Ocean Road to the Lady Bay Resort.


If you are travelling from Melbourne to the South-West region of Victoria, the journey via the specatcular Great Ocean Road to Warrnambool is an impressionable ride through nature.

The first whale mother and calf sighting occured Friday morning, just 200 metres from Logan's beach viewing platform!!
